The JCA prides itself on providing its members with excellence in service and facility amenities. The Fitness and Wellness Department is proud to announce the acquisition of 13 new pieces of fitness equipment to enhance our members’ wellness experience. Let one of our highly qualified personal trainers show you how to utilize the new pieces to boost your routine to a whole new level! TRX Suspension Training
TRX Suspension Training is a complete total body workout; TRX makes your body weight work for you. Now registering morning and evening fall sessions.

Moving Meditation with Clint Neale
Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art. This class will be for the relaxation of the mind and body, not for self-defense. The main differences between styles of Tai Chi are speed, pace and the way the body holds the poses. This class will be the Yang style that is slower and gentler on the body. A combination of Qigong warm-up and Tai Chi forms will help improve coordination, flexibility and balance. Appropriate for all levels of fitness.

Aqua Boot Camp
Don't let the new name scare you! Aqua Boot Camp on Monday nights at 7:00pm is a high-energy aqua workout where you can work at your own pace and get a great "cool" workout in the pool! Join Helen and give this great workout a try!

The fitness mission is to promote health and wellness within the JCA family and general community by providing state of the art exercise equipment in a clean and friendly environment, professional and certified staff to provide advice, motivation and guidance, programming and special events to serve the JCA family and general community and an environment where members and guests feel welcome and want to return again and again.

Personal Training is a great way to jump start your way back into shape, a continuous way to stay motivated, and helpful to anyone needing a personal workout plan. Look at our personal training page for more information on rates, or call Ali Helms, fitness director, at ext. 324.
We have a state of the art Personal Training Studio for exclusive use by JCA Personal Trainers and their clients. The studio is an intimate environment with small fitness apparatus such as Kettlebells, BOSUs, Body Bars, Ballast Balls, Plyo Boxes, a Ballet Barre, cushioned floors, a low physical therapy table, and mirrors. The Studio also houses our Polar Body Age Assessment Bike and Computer for the trainers to assess their clients and help them set their fitness goals.
Pilates Reformer Training is offered as a specialized personal training at the JCA with our Pilates Reformer staff. Book an appointment today at the registrar’s office, check out the Pilates Reformer page, or call ext. 324 for more information.
Nutrition Counseling is offered by Helen Sollee, our Registered Dietician, who is here to help you with weight loss, nutrition guidance, or specialized nutrition needs. Call ext. 255 and leave a message for Helen in the fitness center or purchase a session with her today.
Our Group Fitness Program features over 50 FREE classes each week of all the popular styles that our members enjoy. Everything from Zumba, Kickboxing, and Cycling to Yoga, Pilates, Body Sculpt/Pump, and of course Aqua! Sit and Get Fit (SGF) is a comprehensive fitness program for our senior members. These classes are offered Monday – Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Mature Adult Lounge in Meeting Room C. Weigh to Wellness is a 12-week program developed to help participants make a lifelong change in their exercise and diet regimens resulting in a healthier lifestyle. See more information on our fitness program page or call the fitness director office at ext. 324.
