• Building strength
• Creating a long lean body
• Improving flexibility, agility, stability and posture
What is Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates over 70 years ago that uses both mat and equipment for training. Pilates is the fastest-growing segment of the fitness industry due to its smart and democratic system of movement. This training method provides a full-body workout with a focus on the core muscle groups of the midsection, shoulders and hips. Pilates will help you improve flexibility, gain alignment and balance, prevent injuries and alleviate many chronic ailments.
Pilates reformer training can help reach your goals safely and effectively without the use of conventional weight training methods by using an array of versatile exercises and movements through the use of springs and body weight resistance.
Pilates Personal Trainers
Our trainers have years of experience with the Pilates method and are all certified Reformer trainers.
One-on-One Pilates Personal Training
Pilates personal training is located in a small room within Group Fitness Studio A. This private room will allow your trainer to work with you quietly and independently without the distractions found in a gym setting.
Reformer for Injury Rehabilitation and Elite Athletes
For those suffering from injury, the reformer is recommended by physical therapists and sports physicians as a safe and effective machine for rehabilitation. No matter what kind of athlete you are, you can improve performance and minimize your risk of injury with reformer training. The reformer is also great for prenatal clients who want to enhance their fitness ability and mature adults who simply want to make getting out of bed easier. Every exerciser from 13-years-old to the active adult can reap the benefit of this form of exercise and at the same time get a good workout.
